International Arts Festivals-2007
“Khuree Tsam-108”- World peace art project

The International Arts Festivals introduces:
“Khuree Tsam-108” Mongolian Traditional Mask and Costume Collection in Ritual Dance Performance and other best Mongolian cultural events. The festivals are designed to promote international cultural and educational exchange, and world peace.

Lead by: Natsag Gankhuyag - The completion of 108 traditional Mongolian masks and costumes, destroyed in 1937, are presented during these festivals.

This 10-year project was made possible by volunteer teams, artists and artisans as well as other organizations organizing these festivals. This is a significant event, not only in Mongolian history, but also regarding international art history, because “Khuree Tsam-108” Mask and Costume Collection has been recreated completely first time since it was destroyed over 70 years ago.

This festival will also celebrate the 100 year anniversary of Peking to Paris motor race held in 1907. The vintage cars racing in Peking – Paris 2007 will go across Mongolia once again after one hundred years.
